Almond Blossoms: It's That Time Again!

I'm happy to live in a town where acres and acres of almond trees begin blossoming in February.
Durham is known for its almonds, and orchards of them border our property on two sides.

These silent, unassuming trees put on a spectacular show.

Everything else is still under the influence of the barren winter, but these pink and white blossoms remind me that spring is coming, and they help me wait.

  2. Lacie, I LOVE the new set-up of your blog! :) And, OH! Those beautiful blossoms! I miss them! We walked to choir practice against a piercing onslaught of wind and sleet this morning. No blossoms for us, yet! :P

    1. Sleet? Yikes! We had our week or so of rain, but now more sunshine and warmth are here for a while. Glad you like the new look. I'm getting serious about this blogging/art/writing thing. This is my year to figure out. Scary and exciting.

  3. I love the sweet smell they bring. When I step out of my car at the end of a long day and breath in their sweet aroma, I know that I'm home.
